Americracy
Presidential Update
The notion that one single individual, whose decisions and actions will reverberate around the world — and affect the lives of billions of human beings — can competently govern our multiethnic, complex and techonologically advanced nation is, doubtlessly, IRRATIONAL!

When One President Was Enough

Before the U.S. Constitution was ratified, Monarchism was probably the only type of government the Founding Fathers were familiar with.

Having experienced the whimsical, abusive, despotic rules imposed on our "New World" colonies, the Founding Fathers were wise enough to eschew Monarchism.

Instead, they opted to create a form of government consisting of three independent branches — legislative, judicial and executive — with the expectation that "checks and balances" would suffice to ensure parity between the branches.

Fortunately, the epoch in which the Founding Fathers existed — when moral values, patriotism, bravery and decorum were de rigueur — did make parity between the branches possible.

That Was Then, This Is Now

Lamentably, in our era, "moral values, patriotism, bravery and decorum" have benn supplanted by materiality, partisanship, ethnic and religious squabbles, self-service, wealth aggrandizement, etc.

The Founding Fathers' concept of "checks and balances" has now become a quaint relic of the past, considered only when deemed politically beneficial to the parties.

Nowadays, derelict in their duties, our nation's feckless and frightened legislators are prone to remain indifferent to presidential decisions detrimental to our nation, possibly the world — unless said decisions are NOT beneficial to them.

When the Founding Fathers decided it was time to create a NEW form of government which would guarantee their RIGHTS and FREEDOMS, they decided to replace their abusive, TYRANNICAL MONARCH with a reasonable, patriotic, president  —  Washington!

Now, in this era of uncertainty, it is time for Americrats to spread the word and fight to amend our hollowed Constitution so that our goverment's — no-longer-trustworthy — presidential branch is modified in a manner commensurate with our needs.  ASAP!

Thus, as Americrats, we humbly advocate for, and dutifully postulate, our forward-looking suggestion, which could only enhance Americans' sense of Coexistense, tranquility and overall well-being, to wit:

The Benefits Of A Dual Presidency

In our times, the plethora of time-consuming responsabilities that our sitting presidents have to fullfil — including the stressful, mental and physical efforts that will eventually diminish their capacity — make it impossible for them to competently fullfil their countless duties, e.g.,

Evidently, to deal with the numerous, complex issues that are required to govern a multiethnic nation as large as the U.S. — competentlytwo elected presidents should be administering our government AND the office of the Vice President should be eliminated.

Rationale

Until 1789, Vice Presidents were NOT elected!  Before then, electors voted for two (2) presidential candidates; whoever received the majority of votes became President and the runner-up became Vice President.

Then, to ensure that Presidents and Vice Presidents were members of the same party and elected together as well, the Twelfth Amendment to the Constitution was ratified on June, 1804.

Of course, since June, 1804, with very few exceptions, depending on their Boss's trust, Vice Presidents have been deemed expendable and relegated to the role of Presidents in Waiting1.

Further, although 45 men have served our nation as Vice Presidents since the presidency was established 235 years ago, only 15 (1/3), have actually been involved in important services to our country.

In comparison, considering the technological advances, multiethnic population size, existential threats and meeting the needs of today's "American way of life", the duties and responsibilities to which our government is now subject, are exponentially greater than they were during the birth of OUR REPUBLIC.

Clearly, an archaic, one-president government — whether led by a competent, experienced, cognitively healthy individual or NOT — based on the hope that our chosen presidents will base their decisions on U.S. Constitutional Law — must necessarily be updated!

Moreover, the mere thought of giving a single president total power to make whimsical, unwise or biased, political decisions that might disrupt, or even destroy, the lives of millions of American citizens — and possibly others throughout the world — can only be described as irrational, self-immolating, STUPIDITY!

No doubt, the time has come for Legislators to forsake their partisan, complacent, self-serving cowardice and — bravely and dutifully — fulfill their sworn promises to their constituents.
